New naturalistic ecological planting design is based on ecological principles, combining plants in the form of quasi naturalization to form an organic and stable development of community planting design. It originated from the combination design of natural planting forms, that is, naturalistic planting design, which can be traced back to the 19th century. William Robinson (1838-1935) first introduced this design concept in Wild Garden (1874). After more than a century of development, it has gradually become a mainstream trend of urban landscape planting design in western countries. The new naturalistic ecological planting design has the characteristics of close to nature, low maintenance, long-term effectiveness, ecology, etc. It emphasizes the spatial combination and florescence sequence of different quasi natural plants. The new naturalistic ecological planting mode has great potential value for the design and management of green infrastructure.
