Nature-based Solution

At the United Nations Climate Action Summit in New York in September 2019, the United Nations invited China and New Zealand to jointly take the lead in proposing "Nature-based Solution"(NbS). NbS highlights respecting the laws of nature and enhances nature's services through implementation paths such as afforestation, farmland management, protection of wetlands, oceans and other ecological protection and ecological restoration, and improvement of ecological management. It also has the functions of controlling greenhouse gas emissions, improving the ability to respond to climate risks, and increasing carbon sinks. It is a comprehensive means for mitigating and adapting to climate change, as well as improving climate resilience.
