Relocation and Amalgamation of Villages

Relocation and amalgamation of villages is a kind of the relocation, which is implemented to alleviating poverty, improving ecologically livable, promoting rural agglomeration and development, as well as propelling relatively centralized resettlement with other villages. The objects of relocation and amalgamation are often villages located in areas with poor living conditions, fragile ecological environment, frequent natural disasters, relocating demand due to major project construction or particularly serious population loss. Relocation and amalgamation of villages can make use of land rationally, optimize resource allocation, save investment in infrastructure and public facilities and improve land use efficiency. At the same time, there are many obstacles for the relocation and amalgamation of villages, such as the limits of capital, institution, perspectives, etc..
