Urban Double Repair

Urban double repair refers to ecological restoration and urban repair. Ecological restoration aims to recover the destroyed mountain, river and vegetation in a planned and progressive manner, and its key point is to renovate the self-regulation function of the urban ecosystem through a series of means. Urban repair’s emphasis is to improve constantly the urban public service quality and the municipal infrastructure conditions, and to explore and protect the urban historical culture and social network, so that the urban functional system and its relevant spatial place can be repaired, remedied and consummated comprehensively. Urban double repair is put forward based on the problems of savage growth, extensive development and the other problems in the urban rapid development stage. In contrast to that, urban renewal, urban regeneration and the other theories are put toward the front to solve the problems arising in the metropolitan declining process.
