Ecological compensation

Ecological compensation is a variety of rules, incentives and coordination mechanisms that regulate stakeholder relationship, promote compensation activities and arouse the enthusiasm of ecological protection, mainly through economic means. It aims to protect and use ecosystem services sustainably, and can be divided into narrow sense and broad sense. In a narrow sense, ecological compensation refers to a series of activities such as compensation, restoration and comprehensive treatment for the damage caused by human social and economic activities to the ecosystem and natural resources. In a broad sense, ecological compensation also includes capital, technology, material compensation and preferential policies for residents who lose development opportunities due to environmental protection. In addition, it also includes the expenditure of scientific research and education to enhance the awareness of environmental protection and improve environmental protection.
