Exposure Ecology

2023-03-29 | UPSC

Professor Yu Zhaowu of Fudan University proposed the concept of "Exposure Ecology" at the 20th China Ecology Conference in 2021. Exposure ecology studies the process and mechanism of ecological exposure of individuals or groups and natural ecosystems, and explores the causes and paths of health effects. It is an interdisciplinary science dedicated to improving the health and well-being of organisms (humans) and a unified framework for understanding "upstream health". It can be divided into "subject ecological exposure" and "object ecological exposure" according to the object, "actual ecological exposure" and "potential ecological exposure" according to the type, and "actual ecological exposure" and "virtual ecological exposure" according to the form. The research category of exposure ecology includes subject-object, reality-virtual dimension, which constitutes a complete research category framework, and all related researches can be included in this framework.
