Landscape emotion is an important scientific concept formed by the research field of landscape architecture discipline shifting from physical space to environmental emotion. The quantitative research on landscape emotion is developed from the research of cognitive evaluation of landscape architecture. Related methods and techniques include emotion scale statistics, physiological data (such as EEG, eye movement, EMG, ECG, etc.) collection and behavioral measurement, facial emotion recognition, big data word frequency and emotional semantic analysis, etc. Contemporary landscape emotion research shows the development trend of method quantification, content typing and technology modularization. The measurement and analysis methods of landscape emotion have gradually changed from subjective to objective, from local to overall, and the prospective research on scene emotion and landscape characteristics based on brain cognitive measurement technology has been carried out rapidly.
